The President's working day began in Dnestrovsk with regular inspection. Vadim Krasnoselsky checked the conditions of stay of citizens in the "Solnechny" medical and resort center. The institution is known in the republic as a preventative clinic or sanatorium located on the shore of the estuary in Kuchurgany. It has been subordinated for several years to the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic. It accepts under normal circumstances the citizens wishing to undergo a health course. It has repeatedly been reprofiled in crisis conditions into an assistance center. A coronavirus hospital was opened in the five-story building, conditions were created later for the temporary residence of citizens forced to leave the territory of Ukraine on the basis of the preventative clinic. 59 refugees are still there today, some of them since February 2022, the head of the "Solnechny" medical and resort center Olesya Shevchuk told the President. There are families with children. The kids go to schools and kindergartens in Dnestrovsk. Three Ukrainian citizens from among those temporarily residing in the center are also employed here. Residents of this category currently occupy the third floor of the building. The lower floors are currently occupied by wards of social institutions of the republic – the Tiraspol boarding house for elderly citizens and disabled people, the veterans' home located in the village of Voronkovo, and the Pervomaisky nursing home. The leadership of the republic decided to settle them in the guest rooms of the center when it was necessary to confront the energy crisis, until it was overcome. 94 people were delivered to the sanatorium without waiting for the thunder of the energy crisis to strike, in the last days of December 2024. These are elderly, lonely people, requiring constant care, many are not capable of independent movement and self-service. They will live in the "Solnechny" medical and resort center until full power supply is restored in their institutions. The sanatorium building is provided with heat, light, hot water thanks to the proximity of the Moscow State District Power Plant. The presence of professional medical personnel is also important. The territory of the medical and resort center is under round-the-clock security, the Minister of Internal Affairs of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Vitaly Neagu informed the President.
Vadim Krasnoselsky was told that a festive and entertainment program was thought out for the residents of the center during the New Year and Christmas period. The Pridnestrovian State Choir, the Viorika ensemble, and a violinist – a student of the local music school – performed here. Traditional carols were sung. Possible creative visits by Liberty, the circus, and a symphony orchestra are planned. Clergymen came to support and congratulate the guests of the sanatorium on Christmas.
Vadim Krasnoselsky inspected the premises of the sanatorium, talked to the residents and staff. He expressed gratitude to the staff for supporting people who, due to life circumstances, need special care from the state and simple human attention.
