The President was informed on how security will be ensured during the Epiphany bathing period

According to information provided to the President by law enforcement, 12 immersions have been prepared to ensure the safety of citizens planning to participate in the traditional Orthodox Epiphany bathing on the 19th of January. These immersions are specially prepared for entering the Dniester River and other places. These immersions are located on the city beaches of Tiraspol, Bendery, Slobodzeya (both Russian and Moldovan parts), on the grounds of the Kuchurgan Reservoir Yacht Club, on the Kremushki beach in Grigoriopol, near the hydroelectric dam in Dubossary, on the embankment along Valchenko Street in Rybnitsa, on the city beach of Kamenka district, in the park in the village of Rashkovo, near the church in the village of Khrustovaya, and in the La Salya recreation area on the lake in Podoima.

Divers inspected the bottoms of the reservoirs at the centrally prepared Epiphany bathing sites. City and district administrations are responsible for equipping the baptismal fonts. Heated changing tents will be set up at the sites. Lifeguards will be on duty at the baptismal fonts and in the surrounding areas from 6:00 PM on January 18 to 7:00 AM on January 20.

Ministry of Internal Affairs officers will also be on duty near churches on Epiphany. This holiday not only includes a solemn service but also the distribution of holy water, which traditionally attracts a significant number of citizens to churches. Traffic militia and patrol crews will be routed to monitor the situation in crowded areas.

Vadim Krasnoselsky was also informed that access to the capital's beach during Epiphany bathing will be via the embankment. The final point for vehicles is the roundabout.
