The President presented state awards to the most worthy residents of Rybnitsa

The celebration of the 393rd anniversary of Rybnitsa was continued by the traditional flower-laying ceremony at the Memorial of Military Glory. The leadership of the republic and the city, representatives of state and local authorities, the public, clergy, residents and guests of Rybnitsa honored the memory of the defenders who died with a minute of silence. Baskets of flowers as a symbol of gratitude of descendants were lowered to the Eternal Flame, as well as to the monuments to the Defenders of the Fatherland and the liquidator of the Chernobyl accident.

The main part of the City Day celebration events took place on the central square of Rybnitsa. Thanks to the inclusion of the object in the capital investment program, the area in front of the state administration building has noticeably changed for the holiday. The square is paved with modern paving slabs, arched decoration, lanterns, benches, vertical flower beds and other small architectural forms have been installed. Rybnitsa fountains came to life. Themed exhibitions and national farmsteads have been arranged for the holiday. There was a stage in the center of the square where the official ceremony of presenting state awards to the most distinguished residents of Rybnitsa was held.

The President of the of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic addressed the residents of Rybnitsa with congratulations. Vadim Krasnoselsky emphasized that the sunny weather, which has pleased the inhabitants of the city-birthday today, is not enough to create a festive atmosphere. “It is doubly pleasant to celebrate the holiday in comfortable conditions, watching the results of your work: renovated square, the landscaped park and the embankment, sports facilities, educational institutions, healthcare facilities. All this is the fruit of your labor. Initiative is important, the support of the state is also important, but it would be impossible to move forward without your hands, without the desire to make the city cozier and more comfortable. There is a rule: to do better, you have to work. You are working, and we are enormously grateful to you for this”, said Vadim Krasnoselsky, speaking at the ceremonial meeting timed to the 393th anniversary of the first mention of Rybnitsa in chronicles.
