The monument to the liquidators of the consequences of the man-made disaster dated April 26, 1986 was erected on the territory of the capital's Memorial of Glory exactly two years ago. The initiator was the "Chernobyl" association from Tiraspol. Vadim Krasnoselsky not only supported the idea then, but also took an active part in its implementation. Today, the day of the 35th anniversary of the Chernobyl tragedy, flowers have been laid on the granite symbolic information slab. The PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky laid the flowers on behalf of the Pridnestrovian people. The first President of the PMR Igor Smirnov, Heads of the Government and the Supreme Council, state authorities and administration, public figures, liquidators and family members of those who gave their lives to save humanity from an invisible enemy also took part in the commemorative ceremony. The memory of the dead was honored with a minute of silence.
