The President Vadim Krasnoselsky visited Grigoriopol

The central part of Grigoriopol continues to transform. The President appreciated the improvements. Vadim Krasnoselsky visited the renovated Defenders of Pridnestrovie Square. The entrance lobby was reconstructed, the stage was built, the Hall of Fame was renewed, the lighting was replaced, and more than 4000 square meters of paving slabs were laid under the program of the Capital Investment Fund. The building of the regional library was also transformed. The windows were replaced there, the facade, perimeter pavement and hipped roof were repaired, and a ramp was installed. Pedestrian areas including those leading to the city memorial were covered with paving slabs. While in Grigoriopol, accompanying by the Head of the District Administration the President laid flowers at the graves of the defenders and the monuments installed at the "Grieving Mother" memorial complex.

The opening of the Grigoriopol outdoor sports and entertainment complex took place today. This is a completely new facility, created in the city at the request of local residents, supported by the President. The combined sports field includes a rollerdrome, table tennis area and a five-a-side football field. Young footballers who won the city stage of the Leather Ball tournament, as well as roller-skating and skateboarding fans who have already appreciated the conditions created for them were among the guests of today's holiday. Vadim Krasnoselsky was told that the site came to life much earlier than its official opening.

Congratulating the residents of Grigoriopol on the renewal of the urban infrastructure, Vadim Krasnoselsky noted that the implemented transformations are not the limit. “We will move forward, we will create, so that children play in the yards, go in for sports, lead a healthy lifestyle. You must not only speak, you must do to achieve this. That is the secret”, summed up the President.

Signed by the guests of honor of the festive ceremony the soccer ball will become a symbol of the development of Grigoriopol football and the sports future of the region as a whole.

The President asked about plans for further expansion of the sports complex, noting that volleyball and basketball courts are required. The object will be included in the Capital Investment Fund Program and will be equipped in the near future.

The karting track was another sports facility (also noticeably transformed) visited by the PMR President today.

The Grigoriopol karting track is the only facility of this type in the republic. The track was built in the late 1980s and has never been repaired until recently. Karting was included in the register of sports of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic in 2018, on behalf of Vadim Krasnoselsky. The issue of purchasing racing mini-cars and preparing the territory for training was resolved at the insistence of the PMR President in 2021. The karting track of Grigoriopol meets international standards. The karting track was expanded, which made it possible to make it more high-speed. Vadim Krasnoselsky was told that the average speed of its passage was reduced by 2 seconds - from 48 to 46. There are 22 units of equipment in the karting park today. The head coach Sergei Piskun said in an interview with the President that connoisseurs of speed are awaited here, who strive for sports professionalism, but not just seek thrills.

Young sportsmen held a demonstration rally race at the end of the excursion.
