The VII Congress of Deputies of all levels of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic is taking place in Tiraspol. The event was organized in the large hall of the Palace of the Republic. The initiator is the PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky at the proposal of members of the Consultative Assembly of the first Pridnestrovian deputies under the PMR Supreme Council. The need is associated with the deterioration of the economic situation in the republic, caused by pressure from Moldova. Delegates are representatives of all cities and districts of the republic – 650 people's representatives. Officials have been invited. The PMR President is taking part in the Congress.
The discussion part of the event, which was significant for the country, was preceded by organizational procedures. The working bodies of the Congress have been formed. The presidium included the PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky, the PMR Supreme Council Chairman Alexander Korshunov (who is also the moderator of the Congress), Vice-Speaker Galina Antyufeeva, as well as the chairpersons of seven city district councils. Members of the committee on credentials, counting and editorial commissions and the secretariat were elected.
