The President considers that internship graduates should be granted deferment conscription

Legislation, in force since last November, provides graduates of medical universities – interns with the opportunity to defer conscription to the army for the period of postgraduate training in medical institutions. Vadim Krasnoselsky, noting the specifics of medical practice and the lack of personnel in the health care system, considers it appropriate to provide an additional three-year delay to qualified doctors after the internship. Anastasia Kipyatkova, the Plenipotentiary Representative of the President to the Supreme Council was entrusted with preparing a draft legislative initiative. The President emphasized during the working meeting that this issue is of great social importance. He outlined that appeals of young doctors asking for deferment conscription are sent to the address of the President. The problem requires legislative resolution, but not on case-by-case basis assistance, Vadim Krasnoselsky noted.
