This year marks 80 years since the start of the bloodiest war in human history. A military-patriotic festival was held on the territory of the capital's beach.
The organizers of the event are servicemen of the Operational Group of Russian Forces in Pridnestrovie, the Ministry of Defense and the Ministry of State Security, the Heirs of Victories youth movement, the Zvezdny, the YouthArmy and Suvorovites historical club. Such festivals have been held in the country for 7 years, which were dedicated to various events during the Great Patriotic War. The audience plunged at the very beginning of the war - June-July 1941 thanks to this reconstruction.
It was based on the historical event in the heroic defense of the borders of the USSR by soldiers-border guards. The participants in the reconstruction recreated the exploits of the border guards of the 13th frontier post under the command of Lieutenant Lopatin and the separate border battalion under the command of Major Filippov. They entered into a hand-to-hand battle with the motorized units of the Wehrmacht with their service dogs.
More than 250 people in total took part in the imitation of hostilities. 15 units of military equipment, motorcycles, artillery pieces and mortars were involved. All this recreated a picture of real military operations in the summer of 1941.
The President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Vadim Krasnoselsky addressed the organizers, participants and spectators of the reconstruction.
The event ended with the performance of the "Sacred War" song accompanied by the orchestra and a gun salute. The President thanked everyone who contributed to the military-historical holiday.
