The PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky received the leadership of the Pridnestrovian State Theater named after Nadezhda Aronetskaya – director Denis Apter and chief director Dmitry Akhmadiev. The meeting was attended by Advisor to the PMR President Pavel Prokudin and Head of the State Service for Culture and Historical Heritage of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Maria Kyrmyz.
The guests told the President about the participation of Pridnestrovian artists in the Compatriots XVII International Festival-Forum of Russian Drama Theaters, which was held in the city of Saransk (Republic of Mordovia) from October 6 to 12.
The Pridnestrovian Theater presented on the Russian stage the play “Our Chekhov”, based on the works of the Russian writer Anton Pavlovich Chekhov. Dmitry Akhmadiev worked on its production.
The performance is based on the play “The Three Sisters”, into which short sketches from small plays, jokes and stories by the author are harmoniously interwoven: “Joy”, “A Joke”, “The Proposal” and others. On stage, all these works are harmoniously combined into a single theatrical performance.
Dmitry Akhmadiev emphasized that the premiere of the play “Our Chekhov” took place in May 2019 in St. Petersburg as part of the Universiade, organized by the Association of Russian Theater Abroad. The jury and theater critics highly appreciated the Pridnestrovian Theater then. Our actors did not lower sights this time either. Well-known Moscow theater experts noted the professionalism of the Pridnestrovian acting troupe and non-standard directorial techniques that form the basis of the Russian theater school.
The President noted in turn that he always watches the work of Pridnestrovian actors and considers the Pridnestrovian State Theater named after Nadezhda Aronetskaya to be a high-level theater that fully satisfies the needs of the Pridnestrovian audience.
