The President held an off-site meeting at the Bendery-Chisinau customs checkpoint

Negative feedback from citizens complaining about the workload of the Bendery-Chisinau customs checkpoint and the forced long wait continues to arrive. This was discussed today at the video conference with the President. Vadim Krasnoselsky immediately held an off-site meeting to discuss all aspects on the spot and develop a solution. He invited to the conversation the heads of the presidential executive office, the Supreme Council, the State Customs Committee, the Ministry of State Security, the Department of Construction, Architecture and Road Facilities, the State Administration of Bendery, as well as the employees serving at the checkpoint. He asked about the control mechanism, the number of specialists involved and their vision of solving the problem.

They came to the conclusion after the discussion that the personnel of this customs checkpoint should be increased. The President considers that representatives of the customs and border services should be on each line. There is currently one employee of the State Customs Committee and the Ministry of State Security at the entrance and exit. It is necessary in addition to separate traffic flows. Trucks only pass separately at the moment. Separate lanes will be allocated for cars and route passenger carriers after some technical adjustments. The state administration of Bendery has been instructed to prepare a project to change the infrastructure of the Bendery-Chisinau customs checkpoint. Vadim Krasnoselsky urged not to delay.

The PMR President inspected the new area for inspection of trucks. He asked how the registration procedure is going. He drew attention to the fact that the drivers of these vehicles register documents in the same place as the rest. They discussed the possibility of arranging a separate "window" directly in the parking lot. Vadim Krasnoselsky was informed that they are working in this direction. The module has already been installed on the site.
