Members of the Pridnestrovian Operational Headquarters, created by the decision of the PMR President in connection with the situation in Ukraine, held a working meeting. The President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic heard reports on the current state of affairs.
The situation is normal in Pridnestrovie. The Republic receives foreign citizens who leave Ukraine and need temporary accommodation. Accommodation for arrivals is organized at four sites at the moment: the Solnechny dispensary (Dnestrovsk), MMZ (Rybnitsa), the Dnestrovsky Orchard hotel (Dubossary) and the sports school for children and youth of the Olympic reserve in Kamenka. Three more locations in the capital are ready for deployment if necessary – the Spartak camp, the Tirotex dispensary, the Sport hotel (Tiraspol wrestling and boxing sports school), two objects of Rybnitsa - sports school number 2, "Jubilee" sports complex, as well as a hostel of the Polytechnic College in Kamenka.
71 people have settled in temporary accommodation centers over the past 24 hours, 433 visitors in total since its opening. Some of them left. There are 172 foreign citizens in the temporary accommodation facilities at the moment. The total workload is 48%. The hotline operates around the clock. 601 calls were received, mostly on issues of entry into the territory of Pridnestrovie. There were 169 phone calls related to the placement.
It was noted that the situation on the state border of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic is under control. All checkpoints are operating normally. Ukraine unilaterally closed all border crossing points on its side at eight in the evening on the 27th of February. In total, 2678 people crossed the border of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic with Ukraine over the past day. 960 stated that they were going to relatives living in Pridnestrovie. 1018 reported that they were passing through the territory of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic in transit.
Only 4116 foreign citizens who arrived in the republic since the aggravation of the situation in Ukraine declared their intention to temporarily reside in Pridnestrovie.
The issue of involving children who arrived for temporary residence in Pridnestrovie in the educational process was raised in the course of the meeting of the Operational Headquarters. Appropriate requests are received from their parents. Vadim Krasnoselsky instructed to provide the necessary assistance: on the basis of applications, foreign children will be able to attend schools and kindergartens in Pridnestrovie. It was instructed to provide meals for students in school canteens.
The holding of cultural events was among the topics discussed in the course of the meeting. It was decided that entertainment is now inappropriate. Concerts and other programs traditional for the Martisor festival have been canceled this year in Pridnestrovie in this regard. They are not recommended for holding and for other reasons, only official and commemorative events will be organized.
