The President in the course of weekly video conference with the public and administrative authorities was informed about the situation in the towns and regions of the republic. The heads of state administrations reported on revenues to municipal budgets, current expenses, fulfillment of social obligations to citizens, implementation of development programs, implementation of presidential instructions, sports and cultural events.
The Head of Slobodzeya said that lots of work has been done in the area to organize street lighting. These are results in numbers: 11 villages, 40 streets were connected; the length of areas provided with lighting was 23 kilometers.
The report of the capital's mayor contained information about the demand for skating rink, which is still operating in the open air. It was visited by over 3100 people during three days. Oleg Dovgopol announced that Christmas tree markets will begin operating somewhere from the 20th of December. There will be eight of them in Tiraspol. In addition, a large Christmas market will be held next weekend – December 23 and 24. The venue chosen was the station square and the premises of the station this year.
The heads spoke about the preparation of New Year and Christmas events in the cities and villages of the republic. Local administrations, on their own, based on municipal financial capabilities, prepare gifts for children. For example, 5748 sweet sets will be distributed during matinees in kindergartens in Tiraspol.
New Year's gifts will be given on behalf of the President to pupils of children's social institutions – boarding schools, orphanages, specialized kindergartens and correctional centers, children with special needs, minors with cancer, children of disabled people – defenders of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, as well as pupils of Suvorov military college, cadets and students of the educational complex named after Makarenko. More than three and a half thousand sets totally. They will be presented during the presidential Christmas trees, which will be held in all towns and regions of the republic.
