The PMR Minister of Economic Development Sergei Obolonik in the course of the conference informed the President about the current state of affairs in the energy sector, noting that the restrictions introduced contributed to the reduction of natural gas consumption to the level that would prevent overspending of the limits set for the current period by Moldovagaz. The work of large enterprises – the Moldavian Metallurgical Plant, the Rybnitsa Cement Plant, Tirotex and a brick factory has been suspended in order to save money. One power unit is involved at the Moldavian GRES. It was decided to transfer Moldavkabel and Elektromash to work in night shifts. This is made due to the fact that the generator operates around the clock, and electricity is in demand mainly during the daytime. It was decided to use it in the industrial sector at night to avoid idle power generation. The collectives of enterprises reacted to this decision with understanding. This option allows not stopping the activities of factories. Transport is allocated to deliver workers to enterprises. Turning off street lighting has become an effective cost-saving measure: depending on the demand for the location and traffic activity, the lights go out at 22:00, 23:00 or at midnight. The result is also a reduction in the period of hot water supply (now residential buildings are provided with hot water from six in the evening to nine in the morning), as well as a reduction in the working day by an hour.
Returning to the topic of idle enterprises, the problem of shortfall in income was discussed. A meeting under the President will be devoted to this issue. They also talked about the forced reduction in funding for development programs. So far, it has been decided not to start construction and repair work at new facilities. Money is allocated exclusively for the completion of what has been started and in emergency situations.
The heads of state administrations spoke about the implementation of instructions related to saving energy resources on the ground. Each report included information about holding a common to the whole republic voluntary Saturday work. The work went on all over the place. Activities within the framework of the common to the whole republic voluntary Saturday work were conducted in some cities and districts over three days off. Particular attention was paid to landscaping: 800 tree seedlings and 450 rose bushes were planted in Tiraspol, 1100 units of planting material were planted in Bendery, 1.5 thousand rose bushes and 500 trees in Slobodzeya district, more than a thousand seedlings in total (half are rose bushes ) – in Grigoriopol district, three thousand units – in Dubossary district, six thousand – in Rybnitsa district, about six hundred young trees and more than five hundred rose bushes were rooted in Kamenka district. It was noted that planting took place under the control of landscape gardening specialists with the active participation of townspeople and villagers in the voluntary Saturday work. Cleaning work continues. The collected garbage will be taken to landfills for municipal solid waste. The President expressed gratitude to organizers and participants of the common to the whole republic voluntary Saturday work, which was joined by tens of thousands of Pridnestrovians.
Other issues of the life of the state were also discussed in the course of the meeting. Many of them will be covered during tomorrow's meeting of the PMR President with the editors-in-chief of two television channels, Vadim Krasnoselsky said, emphasizing the importance of timely and full informing the population about the current state of affairs in the country, no matter how difficult it may be.
