Meeting of the President with the Head of Pridnestrovian State University named after Taras Shevchenko was held at the presidential executive office. Vadim Krasnoselsky asked Stepan Beril about the educational process organization in the context of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. The Head of the University said that the first semester was held in the traditional format, with the exception of cases when a point transition to a temporary remote mode was required to identify the carrier of the virus in individual university groups. It was noted that the quarantine features of conducting studies did not have a negative impact on the quality of education. Control and verification measures even indicate some improvement in performance. It did not affect the educational process and the conduct of repair and construction work, the rector stated. According to Stepan Beril, it is being conducted now in the left wing of the "A" building. The repair of the first and second floors, moving on to the third floor is at the final stage. Vadim Krasnoselsky emphasized that it is necessary to purchase furniture and equipment for this building in parallel. Six million rubles have been allocated in the budget for these purposes. The "A" building should be completely repaired and re-equipped within a year, the President pointed out.
Vadim Krasnoselsky asked about the progress in putting the infrastructure of the campus in order, the completion of landscaping work in the Church of St. Tatiana and the creation of an IT center under Pridnestrovian State University. The President emphasized that the work should be carried out systematically and promptly, focusing on the fact that it should not interfere with the educational process. Another point that Vadim Krasnoselsky paid attention to was maintaining the number of university classrooms. The PMR President emphasized that infrastructural changes should be aimed at creating more comfortable conditions for students.
