Two weeks ago, following a detailed discussion, the President instructed the Government and the leadership of the Pridnestrovian State University to create a working group, before which he set a number of tasks related to creating conditions for the effective functioning of the research laboratories of PSU, in particular the Research Laboratory "Archeology", as well as improving the system wages of their employees. Today the performers reported on the work done, voiced their conclusions and proposals. The Head of the working group Aleksey Tsurkan informed Vadim Krasnoselsky about the meetings held with participation of all interested parties. When developing the updated mechanisms, special attention was paid to the opinion of the heads of the Research Laboratory, the speaker noted. According to him, in the regulatory framework and agreements concluded with the university, there were no provisions providing for partial prepayment of order fulfillment, the possibility of using the funds allocated according to the estimate for purchase of equipment and technology necessary to fulfill the task set by the customer, maintaining quarterly reporting and payment of wages to the research laboratory staff at least once a quarter. When concluding new agreements early next year, all these shortcomings will be taken into account and eliminated. As for the adjustment of the mechanism that is in force this year, all legally permissible measures have been taken to normalize the working process. Research Laboratory "Archeology", for example, will be able to spend 216 thousand rubles already this year on the purchase of computer and photographic equipment necessary to ensure the full-fledged operation of the laboratory.
The participants of the meeting discussed all the problematic aspects, exchanged views and proposals regarding the further improvement of the research laboratory system. The President expressed gratitude to everyone who took part in this work, noting the interest in the approach, consolidation and efficiency in making practical decisions, on which the organization of the productive activities of the structures representing the scientific sphere of the republic depends.
Vadim Krasnoselsky congratulated on the anniversary of the university everyone who is associated with the Pridnestrovian State University named after Taras Shevchenko. PSU celebrates today the 90th anniversary of its foundation.
