Vadim Krasnoselsky held an off-site meeting at the State University. The goal is to inspect the progress of repair work in building "B" of the Pridnestrovian State University named after Shevchenko, clarify current plans and tasks, monitor compliance with the schedules provided for by the project. Head of the university Vladislav Sokolov informed the President about the progress. Working moments were discussed with representatives of contractors. The capital's administration head Oleg Dovgopol took part in the discussion directly at the facility. The PMR President was presented with options for artistic and informational design of wall paintings, to which flights of stairs lead. The coat of arms, flag and map of the country will be depicted on the first one, the founder of Tiraspol Alexander Suvorov and the city coat of arms will be depicted on the second. Vadim Krasnoselsky drew attention to the need to highlight images.
The President was interested in the premises located at the junction of two buildings – reconstructed "B" and planned for repair next year "C". It's about the food court. There is an idea to carry out redevelopment, and use the spacious hall of the former dining room as an exhibition hall of archaeological exhibits, the wealth, variety and value of which the university is proud of. The President approved the idea. He asked if there were areas for storage facilities. Directly under the hall under discussion there are basements suitable for storing museum funds. The possibility of using the kitchen equipment to be dismantled was also discussed during the inspection. As for the exhibits that are not related to archeology, they will be placed in the auditorium of building "B" specially designated for the university multifaceted museum. This room has already been renovated.
The museum-historical theme was continued by the discussion of working aspects related to the creation of a museum quarter in Tiraspol. This is the customary name for the infrastructure of the future state museum being built in the central part of the city. The presidential delegation went to the place. The participants of the meeting discussed the details, relying both on the visualized project and on the already erected elements. They came to the conclusion during the discussion that it is expedient to demolish another outdated building that is in disrepair. They agreed on the placement of various museum locations, made some adjustments to the original plan. For example, it was decided that the archaeological theme in this complex will be represented by a barrow, and exhibits that require acquaintance with them in the conditions of an exhibition hall will be found by visitors in the auditorium of the Catherine Park that is currently operating. Vadim Krasnoselsky considers openness, accessibility, visibility and realism of expositions to be conceptual moments. Pillboxes, trenches, an exhibition of military equipment and small arms should be visible from the roadway, attracting the attention of potential visitors, the President noted. Vadim Krasnoselsky recalled another important aspect is respect for all historical events and their participants. For example, the period of the Civil War should be expositioned by both the red and white movements, and the arms exhibition by exhibits of the Soviet army and those who fought against it.
Vadim Krasnoselsky asked about the style and materials for facade work. It was decided to maintain the design in the spirit of the 19th century, to preserve the compositional unity with the Catherine's Park, the museum quarter will be a part of which. Tidying up the facade of the building, fencing the complex and paving the paths along the facility are aimed to be completed by the Republic Day. The interior work will begin then. Designers are working on the interior design. Issues related to block placement of various expositions are clarified. The depository will be located in the basement under the main building. A technical lift has been thought out for comfortable and safe movement of exhibits, the President was told. Vadim Krasnoselsky focused on the improvement of the museum yard. Benches, gazebos and a rotunda will be installed on the territory of the complex.
Vadim Krasnoselsky visited today the memorial complex in the area of the Tiraspol fortress. Instructions were given related to the improvement of the burial place of the exhumed remains of victims of political repression and the territory adjacent to it. The President discussed with Mayor Oleg Dovgopol and Minister of the Interior Vitaly Neagu design options and a work plan. The President met with archaeologists who continue their research work at the walls of the bastion of St. Vladimir. They discussed the possibility of preserving the excavation site where ancient artifacts were found, and designing it as a museum location.
An integrated approach can be seen in the formation of not only the museum, but also the sports infrastructure of the capital. The renovated sports quarter unites the city stadium, swimming pool, skating rink. Repair and construction work has begun at all facilities. Oleg Dovgopol spoke about what has already been done and what lies ahead. He drew attention to the large amount of work associated with the replacement of utilities in the stadium. He noted that a large number of emergency trees are to be demolished and replaced with new green spaces. The interlocutors discussed the stages of the reconstruction. Vadim Krasnoselsky asked about the improvement of the surrounding area: whether parking spaces and driveways were thought out, whether it was planned to put public transport waiting points in order. All this is in the project. The meeting participants agreed on the importance of the development and modernization of this sports sector of the city. It is noted that the stadium is in demand all year round. It hosts physical education classes and training sessions for professional athletes, students, schoolchildren, employees of law enforcement agencies, as well as students of sports schools for football, wrestling and boxing and athletics.
Another sports facility is being built in Tiraspol from scratch. We are talking about a multidisciplinary physical culture, sports and gaming location near school Number 8. The President visited it today. The stadium will be designed not only to support the educational process, but also for visits by residents of the Kirovsky microdistrict of the capital. There are two large schools in this city sector but there was not a single sports ground, as Oleg Dovgopol noted. The project being implemented provides for the equipping of football, volleyball, basketball fields, a workout zone, treadmills, jump pits. Vadim Krasnoselsky talked to the director of the educational institution. According to Andrey Zemlyakov, 440 people attended the eighth school last academic year. There has been a trend towards an increase in the number of students in recent years. He is sure that there will only be more students with the development of the infrastructure. He said that the school was opened in 1955. The second building was erected 10 years later. All school bathrooms were put in order in 2021, the gym, the roof and the facade of the central part of the school were repaired in 2022. The classroom windows are new. They expect to replace window blocks in school corridors and administrative buildings in the future. This year's goal is the stadium. The head of the capital administration informed the President that it is expected to complete its construction by City Day - October 14. Vadim Krasnoselsky asked which school was next in line for the improvement of the sports area. This is school Number 12, according to Oleg Dovgopol. The President recalled that the implementation of the program for the widespread provision of educational institutions of the republic with modern sports grounds continues.
