The new location in the capital, which the PMR President paid attention to in connection with today's holiday dates, is the exhibition hall of the Catherine Park. There are expositions dedicated to the history of Tiraspol and the Day of Cosmonautics. Materials provided by the Tiraspol United Museum, the capital's library, the art school named after A. Foynitsky and the children's School of Art named after A. S. Rachmaninoff. Young artists have prepared thematic works in the framework of "Liberated Tiraspol" and "Spring of Victory" projects. The exhibition of weapons of the times of the Great Patriotic War was organized by the participants of the movement "Heirs of Victories".
Exhibits related to space exploration are presented separately. Examining the exposition, Vadim Krasnoselsky noted the involvement of Tiraspol in this topic. The names of the cosmonauts and builders of the cosmodrome, who left their mark on the history of the city are remember. The enterprises involved in the production of equipment for spacecraft, as well as food for astronauts were discussed. They recalled the visit to the republic in 2019 by a group of cosmonauts who had arrived at the opening of the museum.
Exhibition of children's drawings prepared within the framework of the "Meet the Stars" competition is also devoted to the space theme. According to the Deputy Chairman of the PMR Supreme Council Galina Antyufeyeva, approximately seven hundred works were presented to the jury. The commission is to determine the winners, but each young participant will be honored, said parliamentarian Ilona Tyuryaeva. Some of the drawings were included into the booklet issued for the 60th anniversary of space exploration. The first copy was presented to the PMR President today. Vadim Krasnoselsky expressed gratitude to the organizers of events dedicated to this date of international importance, mentioning also the idea of placing the 11-meter banner with the image of Yuri Gagarin on one of the Tiraspol buildings and issuing the jubilee stamp. The stamp cancellation took place today at the exhibition. The honorary right of the first seal was granted to the President.
