Pridnestrovie recalls today the tragic events of 30 years ago, which marked the beginning of a large-scale aggression of the Republic of Moldova against the peaceful Pridnestrovian people. The rally was held at the Memorial Complex of Military Glory in the city of Dubossary with the participation of the first persons of the state, defenders of Pridnestrovie, family members of the victims, current military personnel, members of the public and the clergy. They talked about the prerequisites for what happened in the Dubossary direction in the first days of March 1992, about the inclinations of Moldovan nationalists seeking to establish control over Dubossary, about three attempts made by the Moldovan special police detachment, but remaining futile attempts to capture key points and about the heroism of the guards, Cossacks, local residents who did not give up a single inch of Pridnestrovian land. The dead were remembered, among them there was militia major Igor Sipchenko and forever young Don Cossack Mikhail Zubkov. There were more and more losses later. Fifty people were killed in Dubossary during the first spring month, almost the same number are missing. In total 170 defenders of Pridnestrovie were killed in this area during the armed conflict initiated by Moldova.
Addressing the participants of the "Memory is imperishable" memorial rally, the President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Vadim Krasnoselsky spoke about the provocations that initiated the military aggression of Moldova, about its many victims.

The memory of the victims of the armed aggression unleashed by Moldova against the peaceful people of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic was honored with a minute of silence. The presidential wreath was lowered to the central pedestal of the Dubossary memorial complex – a monument to the Soviet soldier, flowers in bulk – to the busts of the Heroes of the Soviet Union, who distinguished themselves during the Great Patriotic War, and to the graves of heroes who at different times gave their lives defending their Motherland. 81 Soviet soldiers and officers and 33 defenders of Pridnestrovie are buried at this Memorial.
