Meeting of the PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky and the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of His Majesty the King of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to the Republic of Moldova Fern Horine. The conversation took place in the office of the Head of the Pridnestrovian State. The PMR Foreign Minister Vitaly Ignatiev was invited to the discussion.
Fern Horine has headed the British Embassy in Moldova since last autumn. This is her first visit to Pridnestrovie. She noted that she expected to discuss a wide range of topics allowing her to form a correct idea of the real state of affairs in the republic. She especially highlighted the economy, respect for human rights, and the Congress of Deputies of all levels of the PMR that took place the day before.
The interlocutors talked about the history of Pridnestrovie – the region and the state. They focused on the prerequisites and reasons for the creation of the republic. The current state of affairs was discussed. Vadim Krasnoselsky spoke in detail about Moldova’s violation of the rights of Pridnestrovians, emphasizing that citizens of the republic will defend it. The PMR President specifically focused on the right to vote and the right to be heard, which the residents of the republic took advantage of the day before by holding the Congress. Vadim Krasnoselsky highlighted three aspects that formed the basis of the delegates’ discussion: respect for human rights, the economy and the continuation of the negotiation process.
