The President congratulated the staff of the legislature of the republic on the 32nd anniversary of the Supreme Council creation

The first plenary session of the Supreme Council of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic took place 32 years ago, on the 29th of November, 1990. The history of the legislature from this date is officially counted, the creation of which has become one of the most important stage in the process of forming a system of state authorities and managing the state proclaimed by the will of the people. The Pridnestrovian parliament personnel was congratulated by the PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky today. The President got acquainted with the exposition prepared for the holiday. Photographic materials are a kind of illustration to the crhonicles of Pridnestrovian parliamentarism – from the Provisional Supreme Council to the present day. Archival photographs show events and people who played an important role in the creation and development of the country and its coeval – the legislature. The exposition is made up of 123 photographs. Pioneers of Pridnestrovian parliamentarism Anna Volkova and Vyacheslav Zagryadsky provided assistance in the creation of the exhibition. The works of photographers Valery Kruglikov and Lemar Korzilov were used, as well as frames collected in different periods and preserved by the press service of the Supreme Council.

Vadim Krasnoselsky congratulated the representatives of the deputies and employees of the Supreme Council not only as the President, but also as a colleague. He was elected exactly seven years ago, on the 29th of November, 2015 a deputy of the Supreme Council of the PMR of the VI convocation, and a month later – the speaker of the Pridnestrovian Parliament that he headed for a year – until he was elected the PMR President.

They recalled in a festive conversation organized in the briefing hall of the Supreme Council in the format of a tea party the fateful events of the 90s of the last century, noting that the creation and formation of government bodies and state institutions of the young republic did not follow the scenario generally accepted in post-Soviet practice – the system was formed from scratch.

Vadim Krasnoselsky addressed the words of special gratitude to the founders of the republic, the creators of the Supreme Council and personally to Igor Smirnov, who took part in today's meeting. The interlocutors noted the continuity and close interaction of different generations of Pridnestrovian parliamentarians. The Youth Parliament and the Advisory Assembly of the first Pridnestrovian deputies, created on the initiative of Vadim Krasnoselsky, operate under the Supreme Council.

Congratulating the staff of the Supreme Council represented by the leadership of the legislature and its structural divisions, Vadim Krasnoselsky emphasized the importance of the activities of the people's deputies and specialists involved in lawmaking, wishing them further professional success. The President emphasized that today's date is a holiday not only for the deputies, but for the entire Pridnestrovian state, created and developing on the basis of true democracy.
