Among the objects to which the President paid attention, while on a working visit in Kamenka, was school №1. The educational process in the school is organized in Moldavian. Archival documents indicate that the history dates back to 1900. It was assigned status of secondary in 1934, before that there was seven years old education. A new building was built for an educational institution in the middle of the last century. In 1980, the school was named after a resident of Kamenka, Hero of the Soviet Union Ivan Koval. Today, nearly a hundred children who choose Moldavian as the language of education are gaining knowledge here, told the Head of the Kamenka administration Vladimir Bychkov to Vadim Krasnoselsky. Vladimir Bychkov worked as a headmaster of the school No.1 in Kamenka.
The building of the educational institution is in good condition, the President stated. Five years ago, the roof was replaced here, the gym, the catering department, classrooms were repaired, windows and doors were replaced. That time, repairs were not supposed to be so global, but one and a half weeks of heavy rains, which charged during the replacement of the roof and flooded most of the premises, made adjustments to the plans. Vadim Krasnoselsky, inspecting the renovated school premises, paid attention to the catering department, asked about the number of children eating in the school canteen, and the number of representatives of privileged categories. The sports hall and classrooms were not left without attention of the President. Vadim Krasnoselsky talked not only with the leadership of the school, but also with teachers and high school students.
Members of the inspection delegation inspected the area around the school. By the beginning of autumn, the area in front of the school and the driveways to it were covered with paving tiles — more than 2.5 thousand square meters. Funds - 1.1 million rubles - are allocated from the capital investment fund.
