The issue of improving the system for organizing passenger transportation was raised in the course of the video conference of the President with the heads of state authorities and administration. The fixed-route taxis movement was temporarily suspended in Bendery last week. This is the sixth such incident in the city. The municipal leadership dealt the problematic situation, assuring that additional measures were taken to prevent similar situations. According to the Head of state administration Roman Ivanchenko, the number of cars that go on flights is excessive – the city needs half of the cars for the effective functioning of the passenger transportation mechanism. Selectivity of approaches remains a problem at the same time: carriers give preference to popular routes, leaving unprofitable ones unattended. Vadim Krasnoselsky instructed to revise the route network not only in Bendery, but throughout the republic. The President emphasized that the participation of municipal enterprises is important to ensure fair competition. Chairman of the Government of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Alexander Rosenberg considers it expedient to introduce a dispatching system in this area – by analogy with a taxi. Minister of Economic Development of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Sergey Obolonik announced the events planned for the current year, designed to improve the current system. Thematic meetings will be held with the participation of all interested parties in the near future.
Another issue raised during the meeting under the President is the amount of wages of public sector workers employed by the municipality. The heads of state administrations note that the increase in salaries affected areas financed from the state treasury, but did not affect specialists at urban and rural levels. There is a serious problem with the staffing of municipal structures at the same time. The administration of Tiraspol proposes for example to allocate part of the savings generated at the end of the last financial year to increase the salaries of this category of citizens.
The meeting participants discussed the mechanism for covering the costs associated with road lighting. There are different opinions regarding the source of funding. The meeting will be held in the near future on behalf of the President, in the course of which this issue will be discussed in detail and a final decision will be made.
The participants of the working discussion spoke about the forms of organizing the leisure of the population. Vadim Krasnoselsky recommended that state administrations exchange experience. The planetarium, opened in Bendery on the territory of the Alexander Nevsky Park, was mentioned as an example. The project is not expensive in terms of implementation and quickly pays off: the demand among visitors is high, the directions for using the site are diverse. The capital's skating rink, which will resume work in the coming days, was also mentioned. The sports and leisure facility was transferred to the balance of the city and now performs not so much a commercial as a social function, which is confirmed by the pricing policy. The skating rink will be open daily: from 14:00 to 22:00 on weekdays, from 10:00 to midnight on weekends. Hockey players will resume the training process in addition.
