The City Council of Tiraspol of the 26th convocation held the third plenary meeting of the 17th session. The agenda includes a dozen and a half issues, including a report on the execution of the local budget for 9 months of the current year. The work within the framework of the main list of issues was preceded by the procedure for changing the head of the state administration of the cities of Tiraspol and Dnestrovsk. The President signed the day before a decree on the dismissal of Oleg Dovgopol and the appointment of Ilona Tyuryaeva. Vadim Krasnoselsky is present at the meeting of the City Council today. He thanked the now former head and gave instructions to the new capital's mayor.

Oleg Dovgopol headed the Tiraspol administration eight years. The capital has noticeably changed under his leadership, the city has become more comfortable, beautiful and modern, while preserving its historical features, Vadim Krasnoselsky recalled. He emphasized that Tiraspol residents see and appreciate Oleg Dovgopol's contribution to the development of the city. The President said that the city mayor is essentially an economic position, the head of the administration is in charge of and manages a large city economy, Vadim Krasnoselsky considers that Oleg Dovgopol has coped with this task perfectly. The President expressed confidence that Oleg Dovgopol has a lot of energy, and it will be realized for the benefit of his native land.

Oleg Dovgopol in turn thanked the leadership of the republic, the city administration team, deputies, employees of enterprises, organizations, services and every resident of Tiraspol for their joint work. Addressing Vadim Krasnoselsky, Oleg Dovgopol expressed gratitude to the President for the ideas that they had brought to life together, for bold and sometimes unexpected decisions, for the fact that the country's leader does not divide objects into significant and insignificant. Oleg Dovgopol said that he will remain in his hometown and will be happy to watch its further development. Speaking about his successor as head, he emphasized that Ilona Tyuryaeva is an experienced leader with a core who can handle a lot.

Ilona Tyuryaeva participated in the plenary session of the Supreme Council of the PMR just yesterday. She was elected to the legislative body of the republic four times and represented the interests of Tiraspol residents in the Pridnestrovian parliament for 19 years. She held the position of deputy chairperson of the Committee on Social Policy, Healthcare, Labor, Family and Childhood by decision of her colleagues in the deputy corps. Being a deputy on a temporary basis, she combined parliamentary activity with labor and public activity. On November 20, Ilona Tyuryaeva's parliamentary powers were officially terminated. She assumed the post of the head of Tiraspol and Dnestrovsk from today. Vadim Krasnoselsky emphasized that this public and political figure needs no introduction. She will continue to work in the interests of Tiraspol residents in her new position. The President noted that her upcoming work is voluminous, difficult, but feasible for Ilona Tyuryaeva with her experience, active civic position, and social responsibility.

Ilona Tyuryaeva herself called today an extraordinary day, and the upcoming work as the head of the capital of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic – not just work, but a high honor and great responsibility, which she accepts with a pure heart and love for the city in which she was born.

Vadim Krasnoselsky wished everyone to see the happy faces of Tiraspol residents around, as well as peace, without which development is impossible.
