A fish farm in Nezavertaylovka was among the objects that the President visited with inspection to the Slobodzeya district. Created 58 years ago it has long been known as the Kuchurgany fishery that provides the planting material necessary for the systematic stocking of ponds, not only all of Moldova and a significant part of Ukraine, but also some foreign countries. The commercial name acquired the current name and status of the joint-stock company one and a half decades ago, but the essence and activity remained the same. According to the head of the enterprise, Vasily Chebanov, the production process is a full-system one: it includes obtaining hutchling, raising commercial fish. The complex occupies approximately 330 hectares, 277 of them are ponds. The Presidential Inspectorate was met at the village Korotnoye.
The company employs 45 people. White and motley silver carp, grass carp, local carp and its Romanian counterpart fresinet, European catfish, paddlefish, pike perch, crucian carp - all these are products of the Nezavtaylovka fish farm. Hutchling is obtained both by natural spawning and by the factory method in the incubation workshop. They sell yearlings and marketable fish in a large assortment. Vadim Krasnoselsky asked the entrepreneur about the sales market. According to Vasily Chebanov, pond fish is sold mainly in Slobodzeya, Tiraspol, Bendery and some villages of the republic. Planting stock is acquired by specialized farms of Pridnestrovie and Moldova.
The interlocutors spoke about quality of local products. The key to environmental safety and good taste is a natural fodder base. Fish productivity also depends on its nutritional properties, emphasized Vasily Chebanov. He said that the enterprise operates a workshop for the production of feed pellets based on corn, soy, rape, wheat, barley, peas. Natural nutrition is much more expensive than artificial (5 kilograms of feed is needed for the natural cultivation of a kilogram of fish; if you use chemistry, then 800 grams of forage crops are sufficient as a base food), but the economic enterprise in Nezavertaylovka is based on the principles of environmental friendliness of products.
They focused on the topic of security. It was a question of both preventive measures related to the health of the fish and its protection from predators, as well as the fight against poaching.
