Working meeting of the PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky with the State Secretary - Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Russia Grigory Karasin was held in Reception House of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation. Ambassador-at-large of the Russian Foreign Ministry Sergey Gubarev and the Director of the Second Department of the CIS countries of the Russian Foreign Ministry Andrei Rudenko took part in the meeting from the Russian side, the PMR Foreign Minister Vitaly Ignatiev - from the Pridnestrovian side.
Proposals of Pridnestrovie on strategic interaction between states are presented to Russian colleagues. They discussed specific spheres of cooperation in political, diplomatic, social, humanitarian and economic spheres, as well as prospects for interdepartmental contacts. In addition, the interlocutors touched upon the possibilities of practical implementation of a number of joint projects and initiatives.
Vadim Krasnoselsky and Grigory Karasin exchanged views on a wide range of topical issues. The current situation in the negotiation process between Pridnestrovie and the Republic of Moldova was underscored. The President emphasized the active role of the Russian Federation in the Moldovan-Pridnestrovian dialogue, that in his opinion, has a favorable influence on the course and dynamics of the negotiations.
The PMR President expressed appreciation for the balanced approach of the Russian Foreign Ministry to the settlement of the Moldova-Pridnestrovian conflict against the background of numerous speculations about its prospects and political formats. Vadim Krasnoselsky highly appreciated the consistent position of the Russian side, which is that the whole complex of problematic issues that have accumulated in relations between Pridnestrovie and Moldova over the past decades, it is necessary to solve political and diplomatic methods based on the interests of the people and objective realities that have developed in the negotiation process.
Vadim Krasnoselsky thanked Russia for the systemic support of the population of Pridnestrovie as well as the efforts made in the sphere of security and peacekeeping. The parties agreed to develop cooperation in the whole range of areas of mutual interest.
