The national anthem was played on the central square of Tiraspol, performed by the orchestra of the General Staff of the Ministry of Defense of the PMR today, on Republic Day. The State flags were flying into the sky over the capital to the well-known and significant chords for every Pridnestrovian. This solemn ceremony is an obligatory component of the most significant state events. The first persons of the country, residents and guests of Tiraspol took part in it.
The canvases of the flags were carried around the city square by the artists of the Vatra and Viorica ensembles, dressed in national costumes, known not only in Pridnestrovie, but also in the world, representing the diversity and richness of Pridnestrovian history and culture. The hosts of the ceremony recalled that the main symbols of Pridnestrovie were approved on September 2, 1991 at the IV Congress of Deputies of all levels. Pridnestrovians, categorically rejecting the imposed Romanian tricolor, remained faithful to the red-green combination of colors that the Moldavian SSR was once proud of. This flag was approved as the State Flag of the PMR.
