The PMR President met with the Special Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office

Vadim Krasnoselsky met with the delegation of the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe at the site of presidential executive office. The group of visitors is headed by the Special Representative of the OSCE Chairman-in-Office Thomas Mayr-Harting. The delegation also includes the Head of the OSCE Mission to the Republic of Moldova Claus Neukirch, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Kingdom of Sweden to Moldova Anna Lyberg and political advisers. The Pridnestrovian side was represented by the PMR Foreign Minister Vitaly Ignatiev in addition to the President.

The participants of the meeting after exchanging greetings highlighted its importance, emphasizing that there was no progress in the negotiation process over the five months of this year. Vadim Krasnoselsky recalled that cases of unjustified detention of PMR officials at the Chisinau airport and the seizure of goods transported to Pridnestrovie were recorded against the background of the stagnation of the dialogue and the downtime in Moldova's implementation of the agreements reached earlier.

Thomas Mayr-Harting reaffirming the value of direct contact called today's working dialogue useful in the context of the upcoming discussion of mediators and observers scheduled for next week, as well as the autumn meeting of the participants in the “5+2” format. According to the European Ambassador, the activities of the OSCE representatives are focused on practical result - improving the living conditions of people.

The interlocutors discussed a wide range of issues in detail – both that have remained relevant for more than one year, and that have recently replenished the agenda. The meeting participants after exchanging information, opinions, arguments and suggestions identified a range of topics for further discussion and outlined plans for interaction of a working nature.
