The PMR President met with the British Ambassador

The meeting of the PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky with the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of His Majesty the King of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland to the Republic of Moldova Steven Fisher took place at the presidential executive office.

Vadim Krasnoselsky noted, welcoming the guest, that serious events have taken place in Pridnestrovie and along its perimeter, which have an impact on the state of affairs in the country and on the state of the negotiation process since the previous meeting. The work of the "Permanent Conference ..." in the "5 + 2" format is frozen, negotiations are stagnant, meetings of representatives of the parties are rather formal, and the tense foreign policy situation does not offer optimism, Vadim Krasnoselsky stated. He emphasized that Pridnestrovie strives to continue the dialogue and maintain peace in the republic and the region as a whole in spite of everything.

The PMR President paid special attention to the topic of prevented terrorist attacks, stressing that if the criminal plans were implemented, they would become an important factor in the escalation of the conflict. Vadim Krasnoselsky noted that it is important for Pridnestrovie that the world community gives a fair assessment of what happened. This is necessary, first of all, to prevent new attempts to carry out terrorist attacks and initiate a conflict.

The British Ambassador noted in turn that the state he represents is closely watching the ongoing events. Steven Fisher has indicated an interest in learning the evidence that confirms the preparation of prevented terrorist attacks. He spoke about his recent meetings in Vienna with representatives of OSCE member states.

Steven Fisher informed about the planned meetings with representatives of the Pridnestrovian business, the purpose of which was to promote the strengthening and development of trade relations and increase exports.
