The Republican Cadet Corps named after His Serene Highness Prince Grigory Potemkin-Tavrichesky will celebrate its 23rd anniversary on July 9, in less than a month. The educational institution has graduated 510 cadets over the years. The first graduation took place in 2006, today is the twentieth anniversary. The President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Vadim Krasnoselsky arrived to congratulate the graduates.
The PMR President congratulated everyone on the end of the academic year, and the graduates on the successful completion of an important stage in their lives, addressing the personnel of the corps – cadets and employees, as well as the parents of the students. The President drew attention to the fact that in essence the adult young people in uniform came out today onto the parade ground to participate in the ceremonial event with their parents, who until now had been guiding the children along their life's path. Vadim Krasnoselsky noted that there will be more independence in the future, but called for not weakening family ties and always supporting loved ones at the same time. The PMR President spoke about the importance of honoring and remembering teachers and visiting the educational institution if possible and sharing their achievements with teachers. The President focused on the discipline and command skills acquired by the cadets, which will help in life. The President's wish to the graduates is to move forward. According to him, it is not enough to be brave, smart, well-read to achieve a goal: results are achieved by those who do not give up. "You can do anything!", Vadim Krasnoselsky assured.
44 graduates of the Republican Cadet Corps received certificates and badges during the ceremonial event. The PMR President presented valuable gifts – watches – to those who distinguished themselves most in their studies, sports and public life. The President awarded state awards to some employees of the Cadet Corps: honorary titles were awarded. Vadim Krasnoselsky presented the educational institution with a projector on the occasion of the 20th graduation of the Republican Cadet Corps.
