A new composition of the Public Chamber of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic has been formed. Ten people – citizens who have served the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic – were traditionally delegated by the PMR President. The rest represent administrative-territorial units of the country and the public. The first meeting of the Public Chamber of the PMR of the VI convocation took place at the site of the Supreme Council today. Members of the organization were greeted by the PMR President.
Vadim Krasnoselsky emphasized that the Public Chamber is a cross-section of Pridnestrovian society. Its personnel is as multinational as the people of Pridnestrovie. The President recalled that members of the Public Chamber have the right to vote when making important decisions for the state, and emphasized the importance of the control function of this organization.
Speaking about public control, the PMR President focused on the fact that the members of the Public Chamber are the link between citizens and the state, officials and the population. Vadim Krasnoselsky aimed at strengthening control over the implementation by officials of legal norms regarding citizens’ appeals.
Another area that requires increased attention in the President’s opinion is the implementation of the capital investment program and the expenditure of the Capital Investment Fund. Vadim Krasnoselsky recalled that this year the task has been set to complete the repair and construction work begun earlier, as well as to pay attention to memorials and memorial sites associated with the Great Patriotic War. The amount of financing is about 210 million rubles. The Public Chamber will have to monitor their development and the quality of work.
The President focused on support for people with limited mobility and people in need of special care. The Public Chamber should systematically check the situation in specialized social institutions, and take control of the creation of a new center for adult citizens with life-limiting conditions. A good deal of groundwork was done. It is expected to open the center in the Slobodzeya district.
The President recalled that the current year has been declared in Pridnestrovie as the Year of the Family and Family Values, and recommended that public activists actively participate in the preparation of events aimed at popularizing these values.
Vadim Krasnoselsky emphasized that the results of control activities, conclusions and proposals of the Public Chamber are important for him as the leader of the country. He wished the members of the chamber successful work for the benefit of the Pridnestrovian people, noting that he was aimed at fruitful interaction.
The leadership of the PMR Public Chamber of the VI convocation was elected in the second part of the meeting.
