Meeting of the President with local deputies and social activists took place at the site of the City and District Council. The event is of information-discussion nature. Its purpose is to exchange relevant information and opinions on all issues of interest. The Head of the Dubossary state administration, parliamentarians representing the interests of the inhabitants of the Dubossary region in the Supreme Council, heads of enterprises and organizations were invited to the conversation.
Geopolitics and its impact on Pridnestrovie was among the topics of the conversation. The participants of the meeting asked about the prevented terrorist attacks and the progress of the investigation on them. They were interested in the state of the negotiation process between Pridnestrovie and Moldova, as well as the possible consequences for the Pridnestrovian state of decisions taken in the neighboring republic – renaming the language, attempts to withdraw from the 1992 agreement, the adoption of the so called law on separatism, etc. Vadim Krasnoselsky in the course of the conversation focused on the fundamental factors that historically shape the Pridnestrovian people and their identity.
One of the questions is the prospects for the complete replacement of street lighting devices with energy-saving ones. Deputies of Dubossary consider that it is necessary to adopt a targeted state program. Vadim Krasnoselsky said that work in this direction is already underway. An important aspect: the lamps must be locally produced. They are manufactured by two Pridnestrovian enterprises now – the capital's "Electromash" and the "Electrocontact" plant in Bendery. According to Vadim Krasnoselsky, the characteristics of the products are high. Manufacturer's warranty is three years. The PMR President considers it very important to develop local production in various areas. Vadim Krasnoselsky emphasized that the potential of the Pridnestrovian industry is great and should be fully used, minimizing dependence on imports.
Residents of Dubossary asked about the state of affairs in Pridnestrovian medicine, noting that the situation in the Dubossary region is extremely difficult. Infrastructure plans, noting that over the course of several years, about a hundred medical institutions have been covered by repair and construction work were discussed. They talked about measures aimed at improving the staffing of the healthcare sector. Vadim Krasnoselsky spoke about plans to further increase the salaries of medical workers and state employees in general. He focused on the topic of vocational education and the current mechanism for graduates support.
The participants of the meeting talked about various objects that are significant for the residents of the region. For example, they mentioned a local camp run by the Federation of Trade Unions. The institution is in demand, the services it provides for the organization of leisure and health improvement of children are in demand. At the same time, the mechanism for distributing trip vouchers does not allow satisfying the demand of the local population. Dubossary residents got only 30 out of 360 trip vouchers last year. Local activists are asking to review the distribution system. Another suggestion is to provide at least one of the camp buildings with heating. This measure will significantly lengthen the recreation season, as well as use the camp infrastructure as a venue for all-season gatherings, conferences and other events. The boiler house of a nearby rehabilitation center for children with special needs of life and activity is proposed as a potential source of heat supply. The President instructed to study the issue.
Another request of initiative residents of Dubossary is the organization of a sports space at the Moldovan school number 3. It was noted that the educational institution itself is being transformed, repair and improvement work is underway. A park was laid nearby, which is maintained by the school staff. An ethno-corner visited by citizens has been created. The sports ground in the neighborhood would be in demand by the local citizens, the participants of the meeting are sure. The proposal will be studied, Vadim Krasnoselsky assured, noting that a specific working draft is needed.
The interlocutors of the President raised the issue of the burial of the defenders of the Fatherland, in particular the combatants who died in peacetime. The issue of improvement of the respective territories was discussed. They mentioned the alley created in Bendery at the Borisov cemetery, where monuments to the defenders are erected at the expense of the state, and discussed the prospects for creating a similar memorial object in Dubossary.
Problems and issues raised at the meeting are the regulation of the street lighting regime in place, depending on the need; the need to repair the roadway in the village of Koikovo; providing medical care without going to the central clinic to residents of the Lunga microdistrict of the city of Dubossary; conducting geodetic research; verification activities in the business sector are among the discussed issues.
Words of gratitude were heard during the collective discussion – for the adoption of the law on public procurement, for the implementation of the fund-raising program, for the attention to the problems raised, among other things, within the framework of meetings like today's. They talked about the importance of public control and the growing trust of the population to this institution, legally enshrined on the initiative of Vadim Krasnoselsky.
A proposal was made at the end of the discussion: to include the Day of Local Self-Government Employees in the calendar of professional holidays of Pridnestrovie. The President supported the idea in general. The date is to be decided.
