The PMR President is on a working visit to Grigoriopol

Vadim Krasnoselsky held a meeting with deputies of Grigoriopol. The collective discussion was organized at the site of the city and district councils. The Head of the local state administration, parliamentarians and social activists were invited to the conversation. Questions regarding the political situation around Pridnestrovie and its influence on the state of affairs within the republic, about the negotiation process with Moldova, the investigation of prevented terrorist attacks, and ensuring the safety of citizens have become traditional for such meetings. Vadim Krasnoselsky recalled the invariably peaceful position of Pridnestrovie and the openness of the republic, including with regard to the ongoing investigation of terrorist acts. Speaking about the geopolitical situation, the PMR President noted that when a fire is burning nearby, it is foolish to assume that we will not be burned to one degree or another, and our task is to minimize this degree.

They raised in the course of the meeting both topics that are relevant for most of the settlements of the republic, and purely regional ones. For example, they talked about the exhumation of the remains of citizens who were repressed and shot in the last century. The President was thanked for his assistance in creating a memorial in the village of Karmanovo. Vadim Krasnoselsky assured that its improvement will be continued. The PMR President spoke in addition about the final stage of the exhumation of the remains of citizens who were shot in the 30s of the last century near the walls of the Tiraspol fortress.

The participants in the discussion asked about the prospects for further increases in public sector wages and other social benefits. They focused on the topic of vocational education for young people. The measures aimed at retaining staff were discussed. They identified the problem of the lack of kitchen workers in educational institutions. The President was told that pharmacies are needed in the villages, and rural medical institutions are experiencing an acute shortage of doctors. Vadim Krasnoselsky scheduled a thematic meeting dedicated to providing rural residents with medicines for the beginning of next week, noting that the lack of pharmacies is a problem not only in the Grigoriopol region.

The road works progress was discussed. They were interested in plans for organizing street lighting. They talked about the negative consequences of the movement of trucks on rural roads, in particular those that were used for sand transportation. The President informed that he would give instructions to work out the issues at the legislative level and take targeted measures to address specific areas, in particular in the villages of Teya and Krasnogorka.

The deputies raised the issue of overfull Malaeshty solid municipal waste landfill. Vadim Krasnoselsky considers that the only solution to this problem is the creation of a waste processing plant. A variant of its equipment in Tiraspol is being considered. The capacity is enough to cover Grigoriopol region among other things.

The problems associated with the increase in the number of stray animals were outlined by deputies. Vadim Krasnoselsky informed that a million rubles were allocated to the state budget for the construction of a specialized center for keeping stray dogs this year. The President indicated at the same time that many people are talking about the problem, no one is going to solve it. Vadim Krasnoselsky instructed to inform the public, actively supporting the creation of such a shelter, about the allocation of financial resources and request projects.

Another problematic aspect is water supply. The deputies said that the pumps do not withstand the load during the irrigation season. They say that six units failed last year. Rural residents are left without drinking water for domestic needs. It is proposed as a solution to the problem to connect to a water supply system that supplies river water. It passes through the village of Bychok. Vadim Krasnoselsky gave instructions to study the possibility.

Concluding the conversation, the President expressed gratitude to the interlocutors for their active participation, noting that the solution of urgent problems is possible only with close productive interaction.
