The President awarded the PMR Prosecutor's Office with the Order of Honor

The Prosecutor's Office of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic is 35. A ceremonial meeting on the occasion of the departmental anniversary was held in the City Palace of Culture. The PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky took part in the festive event.

The employees of the prosecutor's office and invited guests gathered in the hall of the City Palace of Culture recalled the history of the creation and development of the state body that guards the law, justice and order. Words of gratitude were addressed to veterans "The history of the PMR Prosecutor's Office begins in the period of complex political and legal transformations of the late 80s – early 90s. The question of forming its own state institutions, including law enforcement agencies, arose after the proclamation of Pridnestrovie as an independent state in response to violent attempts to eliminate the Russian language, industrial potential and legal sovereignty of the region. The formation of the PMR Prosecutor's Office as an independent body began in 1990. The prosecutor's office employees of that time operated in the absence of a regulatory framework, outside pressure and a de facto legal vacuum. Nevertheless, the prosecutor's office became the basis of the legal order in the young republic from the first days of its existence," noted PMR Prosecutor Anatoly Guretsky. He said that today the prosecutor's office is not only a supervisory body, but also an active participant in building a legal state, a modern, structured and effectively operating mechanism. He spoke about the digitalization of work processes, the introduction of new technologies, providing personnel with a comfortable service infrastructure, active and fruitful interaction with various government agencies and departments, and educational activities. He focused on the functions and tasks performed by prosecutorial units, especially highlighting the fight against corruption and economic crime, the protection of citizens' social rights, compliance with labor and environmental legislation.

The President addressed the leadership and employees of the prosecutor's office with words of congratulations, gratitude for service and parting words. Vadim Krasnoselsky recalled that the PMR Prosecutor's Office is essentially the same age as the Pridnestrovian state. The decision to create it was made two days after the proclamation of the republic. "The Prosecutor's Office is not only the "eye of the sovereign". In addition to the Prosecutor's Office, there are other "eyes". The Prosecutor's Office is the legal foundation, the core of the law, the legal basis, the base."

Vadim Krasnoselsky called the previous attempts to deprive the prosecutor's office of a number of powers a legal diversion aimed at destroying the mechanisms of statehood. The President recalled the mechanism for appointing the Prosecutor of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic: this official is represented by Vadim Krasnoselsky and approved by the Supreme Council, which makes everyone equally distant from the supervisory structure, ensuring the operation of the basic principle of checks and balances.

Vadim Krasnoselsky expressed gratitude to the first Pridnestrovian prosecutors, calling the decision they made 35 years ago a feat.

The PMR President noted the high professionalism of today's prosecutor's office staff, emphasizing that the main indicator is the trust of citizens. For services to the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic in ensuring the rule of law, unity and strengthening of legality, protecting the rights and freedoms of man and citizen, as well as the interests of society and the state protected by law, the Prosecutor's Office of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic was awarded the Order of Honor. The President secured the order on the Banner of the Prosecutor's Office of the PMR. The most distinguished prosecutors were also awarded state awards.
