The traditional component of the meeting of the Operational Headquarters under the PMR President is the report of the chief physicians on the situation on the ground. In general, the situation is stable, current issues are resolved in a working order. Considering that the detection of COVID-19 carriers, despite mass testing of citizens of various categories, is on the decline (currently 210 people are being treated in infectious diseases hospitals), it seems reasonable to reduce the number of existing COVID centers. Patients undergoing treatment will complete the course in the institutions where they are currently located. Newly arriving carriers of the virus will be in Tiraspol, Bendery, Slobodzeya and Rybnitsa hospitals. The latter will become a base for receiving infected patients not only from the northern capital, but also from Kamenka, Dubossary, Grigoriopol and villages of the corresponding areas. When the number of carriers of coronavirus in the whole country becomes less than 150, it will be possible to talk about the return of the original practice of functioning of a single infection center in Slobodzeya. According to the decision of the Operational Headquarters the coronavirus blocks in the capital’s hospital for people with special needs and in the Bendery Center are curtailed.
Day hospitals are returning to work. The request for them among patients in need of various kinds of medical procedures is extremely large, said Christina Albul, the Head of the PMR Ministry of Health, during the meeting of the Operational Headquarters. In addition, doctors will begin scheduled operations for women who have been diagnosed with a gynecological pathology that requires immediate surgery. In compliance with special safety measures, it is proposed to vaccinate children. Due to the pandemic, the personal vaccination schedule was seriously displaced for many, which is fraught with negative consequences, the Head of the Ministry of Health noted. Vadim Krasnoselsky, after consultation with the republic’s chief medical officer, instructed to resume routine vaccination. The Center for the Prevention and Control of AIDS and Infectious Diseases returns to laboratory tests that are not related to the detection of coronavirus, decided by members of the Operational Headquarters.
As for the Tiraspol COVID laboratory: on behalf of the President, detecting amplifier will be purchased, the presence of which will increase productivity to 180 investigations per day.
