The army infrastructure is being gradually updated. Funds are annually allocated from the Capital Investment Fund to put the casern, educational buildings, and territories of military units in order with the launch of the capital investment program. The Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic keeps this under personal control.
The PMR President examined today how the work on the construction of a new building for the Military Institute of the Ministry of Defense in Tiraspol is progressing. The construction was at the stage of pouring the foundation during the previous presidential visit. The first of the four floors of the main building is currently under construction. There is capital building. The PMR President was told that local building materials are used. The project, the estimated cost of which is 14 million rubles, provides for barracks, administrative offices, classrooms, a library with a reading room, and computer classes. An assembly hall has been thought out for holding lectures with a large number of listeners and ceremonial events. 6 million have been allocated this year. The Minister of Defense Oleg Obruchkov reported to Vadim Krasnoselsky about the new conditions for studying and living for cadets. The information was detailed by Deputy Minister Oleg Ignat and the Head of the Department of Construction, Architecture and Road Facilities Nikolai Obruchkov. It was noted in fact that a cadet camp is being created. There will be not only training and barracks premises, but also a canteen, a clinic, a sports hall. There is enough space to equip the area for outdoor sports. The instructions were given by Vadim Krasnoselsky that the infrastructure of the educational institution must be modern and comfortable. He considers it significant that the Military Institute will be located in the central part of the city.
The President visited the military unit, on the territory of which the active building of the Military Institute of the Ministry of Defense of the PMR is located. Reconstruction is underway here as well. They are putting in order the casern for conscripts and administrative premises now. The building, built in 1982, required major repairs and redevelopment. Floors, windows and doors were changed. The renovated premises will be re-equipped and re-furnished for bedrooms and offices after the completion of repair and construction work. Bathrooms and showers are being renovated and equipped. Work is at the stage of interior decoration currently. It is necessary to put in order the facade and repair the entrance group.
This is not the first time that Vadim Krasnoselsky visited the Training Center of the Ministry of Defense. The catering unit was overhauled and re-equipped here by the end of 2020. The systems of electricity, water and heat supply were changed here, new kitchen equipment was installed, facade work was carried out. The soldier's canteen has been completely transformed. Maintenance and repair center for equipment, a gas boiler room, boxes for training cars - cars and trucks, as well as an updated tactical field with a race track were put into operation after a major overhaul in 2021. Now the defense department is building a car wash on the territory of the training center with its own forces and means, improving the daily maintenance point for the fleet, and putting the access roads in order. Two barracks buildings are being repaired by means of the Capital Investment Fund at the same time.
One of the relatively new facilities of the Ministry of Defense of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic in terms of departmental affiliation is the "Dniester Zori" health-improving complex. It was put onto the defense department’s books in 2018 at the initiative of Vadim Krasnoselsky. The institution was in a deplorable state and required increased attention. Under the capital investment program in 2019, the Druzhba dormitory building was renovated. The "Eaglet", "Flamingo" and partially "Forest Paths" children's buildings, as well as three cottages for children's rehabilitation, have been updated by means of the Ministry of Defense. Gas equipment was replaced in the Druzhba canteen. They launched an idle well of mineral water, drilled another one. The outdoor pool has been restored, the bowl is being redecorated. Fire alarm was installed. The territory of the health complex is being improved. Furniture, as well as bed linen, crockery and household appliances were updated. The construction of an administrative building that will become a link between the polyclinic and the hydropathic has begun this year at the expense of the Capital Investment Fund (combining them into a single complex). The implementation of this project will improve logistics, make the conditions for visitors more comfortable, and the provision of health services - prompt and high quality, the President was told. Vadim Krasnoselsky supported this approach. He emphasized that there are infrastructural changes despite the difficulties. Vadim Krasnoselsky aimed at the continuation of improvement, noting that it is important to update and modernize the territory of the health and leisure complex, pay attention to equipping sports and entertainment areas, increase the number of small architectural forms and diversify them. “This facility will be in demand both among adult citizens who need prevention and health promotion, and among children. Our task is to provide Pridnestrovians with high-quality summer holidays and health-improving procedures throughout the year”, the President emphasized.
