The PMR President held a regular working meeting on issues related to the construction, equipment and exhibition content of the future Pridnestrovian State Museum. Practical aspects were discussed. It is important to comply with the deadlines established by the schedule at each stage, emphasized Vadim Krasnoselsky. The museum has eight thematic exhibition halls. Each is assigned an official who oversees the relevant area. As a matter of priority, the areas allocated for materials telling about the Great Patriotic War will be furnished and filled with exhibits. We are talking about both the corresponding premises in the new museum building and open-air exhibition areas. It was noted in the course of the meeting that the painters’ work on the canvas for the diorama would take about two years. The remaining elements of the composition illustrating the Iasi-Chisinau operation will be completed more quickly. It is possible that the artists will continue to paint after the official opening of the hall dedicated to the Second World War, scheduled for May 2025.
Some adjustments were made during the discussion to the option proposed by the designers for placing exhibition stands and display cases. Vadim Krasnoselsky emphasized that the hall overloading is unacceptable; its zoning should be thought out in such a way that the central element of the exhibition, the diorama does not overlap.
The intricacies of laying engineering communications in the museum premises were also discussed. Every detail must be thought out so that shortcomings do not become an obstacle to the implementation of the plan, the President emphasized. It was decided to hold the next meeting at the site in order to discuss current issues on the spot.
