The "Immortal Regiment" from the main square of the Pridnestrovian capital, ended at the entrance to the military campus of the Operational Group of Russian Forces. According to the already established tradition, the celebration of Victory Day in the Great Patriotic War of 1941-1945 continued in its territory. Among the thousands of guests of the holiday, organized by the Russian military, - is the PMR President with his family. The President took part in the ceremony of laying flowers to the restored monument to the Unknown Soldier. The innovation of this year was the accompaniment of the mourning ceremony of the legendary tank T-34 with volleys of guns. The Archbishop of Tiraspol and Dubossary Sawa served a prayer service for the fallen participants of the Great Patriotic War.
On Victory Day, the guests of the military camp had the opportunity to visit a partisan village, all the elements of which, according to the organizers, were recreated in exact historical accordance with the realities of the Great Patriotic War. Servicemen of Operational Group of Russian Forces in historical form told visitors about the history of the creation and purpose of each object. In the neighborhood there is an exhibition of vintage cars and modern equipment in service with the Russian army. Mandatory components of the festive program - is a concert and dugout. This year, the field kitchen plans to treat about 8 thousand people with soldier’s porridge. There is a bakery in the non-stop mode, the doors of which are open for everyone to get acquainted with the process of baking flavored bread "bricks".
Sharing impressions, Vadim Krasnoselsky noted the high level of preparation of festive events. The President spoke about his own emotions that he feels on the Great Victory Day, “This is both grief and joy. Grief - for the loss, for millions of victims, and joy - for the Victory, suffered by the Soviet people and won by the Soviet soldier". He emphasized that Pridnestrovie pays great attention to preserving the memory, including the Great Patriotic War. The "Immortal Regiment" Vadim Krasnoselsky considers nationwide and sincere, "I read the comments about the alleged "fake" of this action. It's a lie. Participation in the march of the Immortal Regiment comes from the heart, from the personal desire of each to go with a portrait of his great-grandfather, grandfather or father, who participated in this terrible war and remained the winner. We honor our heroes, pay tribute to the memory of the fallen. It is important that in our general ranks were veterans. This is the outgoing generation of winners. By their victory in that terrible war, they gave us the opportunity to live in inhuman conditions”.
