A delegation of the US Embassy in the Republic of Moldova, headed by Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador Dereck Hogan visited Tiraspol. The group of diplomats was received by the PMR President. This is the second meeting of Vadim Krasnoselsky and Dereck Hogan. Having exchanged greetings, the interlocutors drew attention to the fact that the previous communication was limited in time and expressed a mutual desire for a longer and more intense dialogue.
The President of Pridnestrovie emphasized the business nature of interaction with the US embassy, noting the friendly and constructive approach of the parties to building relationships. Noting that the United States is an active participant in the negotiation process in the 5 + 2 format, Vadim Krasnoselsky emphasized that Pridnestrovie is interested in continuing and developing bilateral dialogue.
The foreign diplomat, confirming the active position of the United States in the work of the permanent conference, emphasized that the US Embassy and the States as a whole are trying to do everything in their power to promote a peaceful settlement of the Moldova-Pridnestrovian conflict.
The interlocutors discussed in detail various aspects of the negotiation process, as well as issues of bilateral Pridnestrovian-American contacts. We talked about cooperation through the embassy.
Dereck Hogan indicated a desire to get acquainted with the republic. Vadim Krasnoselsky proposed to begin acquaintance with Pridnestrovie from the Alexander Nevsky Park. At the end of the official part of the meeting, the PMR President, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and his deputy accompanied the ambassador of the United States and his colleagues, arranging an excursion to the Fortress of Bendery.
