The Severe Weather Consequences: Report to the President

The President was informed during a video conference on the consequences of yesterday's severe weather. According to Deputy Chairman of the Government Vitaly Neagu, the hydrometeorological center reported an impending wind increase to 24 m/s as early as 10:00 a.m. Relevant services promptly alerted the public through the media and online resources. Units of the State Emergency Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Pridnestrovie were placed on high alert. According to information collected through the Main Emergency Service, 21 trees fell onto roadways in Tiraspol, four onto vehicles, eight onto power lines, four onto gas pipelines, and eight onto other objects. 10 trees fell onto roadways in Bendery, two each onto vehicles, power lines, and other objects. Thousands of residents of Tiraspol, Bendery, and nearby villages were without power for varying periods of time in the afternoon. Slobodzeya, Dubossary, and Grigoriopol districts reported eight fallen trees each. Power outages occurred in Slobodzeya, Karagash, Vladimirovka, Frunze, Nezavertaylivka, Korotnoye, Krasnoye, and Glinoye in Slobodzeya district; Kolosovo, Glinoye, Gyrtop, Shipka, Delakeu, Krasnaya Gorka, Karmanovo, Tashlyk, and the village of Mayak in Grigoriopol district; and Dubossary, Doibany, Tsybulevka, Garmatsky, Goyany, and Novokomissarovka in Dubossary district. Three fallen trees were reported in Rybnitsa district, one of which was on a power line. Power was out in Belochi, Broshtyany, Butuchany, Vadaturkovo, Yerzhovo, Zhura, Stroentsy, Krasnenkoye, Garaba, Vykhvatintsy, and Zozulyany. One tree fell in Kamenka. Power was out in the villages of Ulyanovka, Khrustovaya, Konstantinovka, Podoima, Sloboda-Rashkovo, Podoymitsa, Kuzmin, and Oknitsa.

The Main Emergency Situations Directorate received 136 calls totally regarding the aftermath of the cyclone. No weather-related injuries were reported.
