The President answered journalists' questions at the end of the Military Parade

Communication of the PMR President with media representatives is a traditional practice on Republic Day. The journalists asked the President about the Pridnestrovian-Russian relations and about the role of each of the two states in this tandem. “We always say: what is Russia for Pridnestrovie, but you can consider the other way: what about Pridnestrovie for Russia? Pridnestrovie shows how in the most difficult conditions it is possible to preserve its core, its spirit, its principles, the Russian world, and internationalism, in the most difficult conditions of non-recognition, blockades, wars. Pridnestrovie was formed in dashing era: the collapse of the state, tragedies, wars, economic recession, but it was the people who managed to save themselves. The fact that the formation of Pridnestrovie was a response to the collapse of the Soviet Union, militant nationalism is quite obvious. Now many people remember the Soviet Union, regretting its collapse. You know, you must always tell the truth. Who defended the Soviet Union? Many "defenders" of the Soviet Union in the kitchen pondered whether this was good or bad, but no one came out to the streets to defend the Soviet Union. And only in Pridnestrovie the people came out - initially not with the idea of forming their own state, but with the idea of preserving the Soviet Union. This is how we irritated the Soviet leadership in many respects - with our desire to preserve a single state. Later, the people were forced to found their own state - to ensure their security, preserve the Russian language, the Russian world. We are moving forward 31 years now in these difficult conditions. It deserves respect and study. Therefore, we are an example of how you can survive in the most difficult conditions. The fact that Russia is for us is completely understandable. This is a defender, peacemaker, strategic partner, landmark. But Pridnestrovie for Russia is an indicator of how it can withstand. On one condition: if you want it and want to defend you - your history, your culture, your people. That's all, ” Vadim Krasnoselsky answered.

The PMR President was asked what challenges the republic is facing, how it reacts to them, and what measures will be taken. “There is nothing new. The new challenges are very similar to the old ones. These are all kinds of blockades and the absence of a normal dialogue. I really hope for the common sense of our partners. Everyone must come to the understanding that aggression, onslaught, blockades cannot solve anything, they cannot break us, they cannot destroy us. We must sit down at the negotiating table and negotiate. For the people living both on the left and right banks of the Dniester. We are absolute internationalists, we have a multinational state. We do not have a national conflict. We respectfully treat the Ukrainian people, and the Russian, and the Moldovan - whatever. We cannot do otherwise. Of course, we need to conduct a dialogue with the leaders, and we will continue to do so. We will deal with the challenges” the Head of the Pridnestrovian State expressed confidence. “We must always prepare for the best,” summed up Vadim Krasnoselsky, concluding his conversation with representatives of the media.
