Vadim Krasnoselsky took part in the PMR Government meeting, during which the question of the advisability of introducing restrictive measures aimed at preventing the spread of coronavirus infection in Pridnestrovie was discussed. From March 13, and until further notice, the republic declared quarantine. From March 16, the educational process in educational institutions is suspended.
The President emphasized: this measure is preventive in nature. No cases of COVID-19 infection were detected in Pridnestrovie.
The complex of anti-epidemic measures for the prevention and control of coronavirus infection is prescribed in the relevant order of the PMR Government. The document states a ban on mass events, an enhanced disinfection regime in organizations and institutions of all forms of ownership. Public transport will operate as usual with enhanced preventive measures. They include wet cleaning of salons with the use of disinfectants before vehicles enter the route, in the middle and at the end of the day.
Pridnestrovians returning to the republic from countries with an unfavorable situation on the coronavirus, when crossing the state border, must fill out an epidemiological map. After that, for 14 days they will be provided with continuous medical supervision in isolation. If symptoms of COVID-19 are identified, hospitalization is mandatory.
Due to the acute shortage of medical masks, the President instructed the Government to organize the production of gauze dressings based on the sewing enterprises of the republic to meet the needs of Pridnestrovians.
Vadim Krasnoselsky urged residents of Pridnestrovie, if possible, not to leave the republic. In case of urgent need, the law enforcement authorities must be informed of the departure.
