The PMR President held a working meeting with officials representing departments and organizations involved in the process of informing the public about the sports life of the republic. Importance of this direction in the country life was discussed. They paid attention to the development of sports infrastructure, emphasizing that the network of stadiums, sports complexes, playgrounds, equipped with outdoor fitness equipment and sports equipment zones is becoming wider every year, making sports accessible and physical culture and a healthy lifestyle the norm. The President set the task of providing not only cities with multifunctional sports grounds, but also settlements remote from the center, residential districts, educational institutions, park and leisure facilities. Vadim Krasnoselsky emphasized that the size and fullness of the sites depends on the necessity, but the conditions for classes must be created.
An equally important aspect is the promotion of a healthy lifestyle, according to the PMR President. The population should be informed about the sports cultivated in Pridnestrovie, the availability of a training base, and the level of the coaching staff. An effective tool for involving children and youth in sports life is a demonstration of achievements, the President recalled. He emphasized that the Pridnestrovian sport has something to be proud of. Pupils of various sports schools of the republic successfully perform at international competitions, the geography of which is becoming wider every year, they are part of the strongest teams in the world. Pridnestrovians should know about their heroes, the PMR President set the task, instructing them to intensify work in this direction. Recommendations were given for the media, the Ministry of Digital Development and the State Service for Sports to strengthen interaction. Vadim Krasnoselsky considers it appropriate to use the capabilities of social networks for prompt coverage of sports events and the dissemination of reliable information. The President stressed the necessity of attention to all sports, not leaving separate areas in the shade. It is unacceptable, according to Vadim Krasnoselsky, to save airtime and printed pages when covering the Paralympic movement, the development of which in the republic is gaining momentum and surpasses other states. It was noted in the course of the meeting in addition to coverage of events of a competitive nature, that one should not leave without due attention various projects and actions aimed at involving citizens in mass sports. There are many newsworthy sports content, as well as personalities who deserve to be known to the general public. There are plenty of information platforms. What is missing is high-quality interdepartmental contacts. After listening to statistical data and analytical information, exchanging views and working proposals, the meeting participants discussed mechanisms that allow establishing and strengthening interaction, the purpose of which is to popularize sports, physical education, promote a healthy lifestyle, inform the local population and the world community about the achievements of Pridnestrovian sports.
