The conversation that took place today at Pridnestrovian State University continued the series of meetings of the President with teaching staff of departments and institutions. Leadership and administration of the university, its structural divisions and branches, teachers and students were the current interlocutors of the President. The questions addressed to Vadim Krasnoselsky related to the activities of the university in its various forms and directions, and the life of the country and its citizens. They talked, for example, about today's challenges faced by Pridnestrovie. The President mentioned negative influence of external factors, emphasizing that in order to oppose this, it was necessary to strengthen statehood inside. The next question is about what tasks the country's leadership sets for graduates. “The main thing for people is to feel that they are needed by the state, and the state should feel the benefit of every citizen”, the President summarized the reasoning on this, emphasizing that the graduate’s job should be the most important factor in the interaction. From September of this year, the system of concluding a triple agreement between an educational institution, a student and the government will begin to operate. The launch of this mechanism ensures that the state-graduate is provided with a job; he, in turn, will be obliged to work out a certain number of years in the republic. By the way: the practice of distributing graduates is gaining momentum. At the end of this year, 620 state employees and 70 contractors were employed. This year, 995 applications were received from employers. The interest is shown not only by ministries, departments, institutions and state-owned enterprises, but also by commercial organizations.
Several questions from the audience were related to grants. They asked about the possibility of implementing on their basis youth projects, participation of Pridnestrovian scientists in relevant programs in Russia, allocation of funds on a grant basis from the Science Development Fund for the reconstruction of museums administered by PSU (geopaleontological, archaeological and zoological). They also talked about the building for the future republican museum of archeology. This issue has already been discussed. The best option was found. We are talking about building with an area of over three thousand square meters, the rooms of which will allow to place exhibits only in the museum's bins of the university, which number in tens of thousands. The case for funding. The President, noting that the archaeological heritage of Pridnestrovie deserves special attention, noted that the idea of creating a museum would be implemented without fail, but a little later. According to Vadim Krasnoselsky, the priority task today is the reanimation of the social infrastructure. The current and the next two years, the main forces and resources will be directed to the "improvement" of health care. As a temporary center for the placement of exposition devoted to Scythian culture, an exhibition center is offered, located in the Alexander Nevsky Park of the city of Bendery. It is no coincidence that special attention was given to Scythian history: a large-scale exposition on this topic cannot be found in neighboring states; having occupied a free niche, Pridnestrovians will attract more tourists to the republic. Work to improve the tourist attractiveness of the region is carried out in various directions, including administrative. Vadim Krasnoselsky told, for example, about plans to create additional lanes at customs checkpoints for tourists. Proposals related to issuing guests "travel passports" with an indication of interesting places and convenient travel routes around the country, as well as ideas about providing them with discount coupons for presentation in retail chains and gas stations were discussed.
They spoke at the meeting about development of languages, noting the significance of the corresponding state program. They focused on developing of educational materials for Moldovan schools, in particular, textbooks of Moldavian language for the 5th grade. The publication needs funds. The President assured that this issue can be attributed to the number of solved issues - the necessary money will be allocated. They also talked about the feasibility of creating a research laboratory, which will closely engage in Pridnestrovian literature. Vadim Krasnoselsky, discussing the activities of the research laboratory operating at the state university, emphasized that research should be applied in nature. Answering a question about how to increase the demand for the services of scientific laboratories, the President focused on the topic of interaction with business entities. “You must be interested in ordering. Offer your services, your intellectual product”, recommended Vadim Krasnoselsky. He proposed to hold a large forum this autumn inviting representatives of the world of science and the business community, as well as the government, so that the laboratory could present its capabilities, entrepreneurs analyze their own need for ordering research and jointly assess prospects for further cooperation.
Inclusion of Pridnestrovie in the program “National Electronic Library of the Russian Federation”, the opening of local cell of the Russian Book Chamber in the republic, the pros and cons of the international university student exchange, the expediency of translating supplement of apostilled diplomas into English, the prospects for creating a media center at the State University, improving education system, interaction of the university’s branches with city and district administrations - during the nearly two-hour conversation, the President spoke on these and other topics raised by university staff and students. More detailed discussion on several aspects will be continued in the framework of individual meetings at the site of the PMR Presidential Administration. Vadim Krasnoselsky supposes that it is an opportunity to identify problematic moments, to hear opinions and interesting proposals.
