The letter addressed to Moldovagaz JSC from Gazprom on the introduction of restrictions on gas supplies is dated December 28, 2024. Tiraspoltransgaz received a letter from Moldovagaz on the same day, which at first glance was generally similar in content. However, the meaning of the text was radically distorted despite the identity of most of the wording. The Russian supplier indicates that the restriction on natural gas supplies is due to the regular failure of Moldovagaz JSC to fulfill its payment obligations, and the Moldovan company in its letter unreasonably shifted responsibility to the Pridnestrovian organization. The response of Tiraspoltransgaz was formalized by a letter stating that the claims of Moldovagaz JSC to Tiraspoltransgaz LLC are untenable and null and void. It was noted that the Tiraspoltransgaz Pridnestrovian company has never figured as a party to which claims from PJSC Gazprom would be addressed in the economic dispute between Gazprom and Moldovagaz.
Vadim Krasnoselsky drew attention in the course of the meeting to the fact that Moldovan media are actively promoting information that the debt to Gazprom is allegedly not Moldovan, but Pridnestrovian. The PMR President emphasized that this is a lie and unfounded claims.
