Vadim Krasnoselsky held a meeting with the Government, the Supreme Council and heads of state administrations. The two main issues on the agenda of the working discussion are the reclamation complex and the development of the territories of towns and districts of the republic. They talked about the needs, prospects, plans and funding mechanisms.
Vadim Krasnoselsky recalled in the introductory part the importance of the development of reclamation complex for the effective functioning of agriculture, stressing that Pridnestrovie is a zone of risky agriculture. The drought of 2020 is a vivid confirmation of this. It was this year that passed practically without precipitation, that the feat of land users to intensify the work on including their lands in the irrigated network. It was noted that the area of irrigated land has been increased more than three times since 2017. The President drew attention to the fact that work in this direction is being carried out systematically. The role of the state is great, as it provides support to farmers expanding the reclamation complex. The PMR President sees the participation of the Pridnestrovian industry in the implementation of this project as important: the Electromash plant has launched the production of the necessary equipment.
Government representatives said that the land reclamation development program has been formed since this summer on the basis of applications from land users who want to include their land plots in the irrigation system. A targeted levy for the development of land reclamation has been thought out. The possibilities of the local manufacturer of equipment for the reclamation complex – the Elektromash plant have been taken into account. The estimated cost of the investment program for 2022 is 13 million rubles. 8.6 million are planned to be allocated for the repair of infrastructure facilities of the state melioration system. We are talking about the head pumping stations "Bychok", "Chobruchi", "Speya", "Tashlyk" "Kuzmin", as well as stations in the villages of Krasny Oktyabr and Vykhvatintsy. Another 4.4 million is planned to be allocated for the purchase of equipment.
As for the creation of the Fund for the Development and Stimulation of Territories: the Government project involves the allocation of specific amounts to the cities and regions of Pridnestrovie for precisely specified purposes. A specific list of spending directions is proposed. The amounts were indicated. Funding for the program for 2022 is expected at 33 million rubles. It was noted that these funds will be a kind of reserve for transfers from the state budget for solving specific tasks on the ground.
Both projects are under discussion.
