The Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic will officially turn 32 years old on the 5th of March. A solemn meeting was held on the eve of the anniversary of the establishment of the department. Law enforcement officers were congratulated by the President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic Vadim Krasnoselsky.
Festive Friday for employees of the internal affairs bodies of Pridnestrovie began with the traditional flower-laying ceremony at the installed on the territory of the ministry monument to militiamen who died in the line of duty.
The event on the occasion of departmental name days was organized in the assembly hall of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, where active militia officers, veterans of the service, the leadership of the ministry, its divisions and subordinate institutions as well as invited guests, including top officials of the country, gathered.
They recalled in the course of the solemn meeting the prerequisites and conditions for the creation of law enforcement structures of the republic, the periods of formation and development. The memory of the militiamen who gave their lives defending Pridnestrovie in the 1990s, and the employees who died in the service in peacetime, was honored with a minute of silence. They talked about the present day of the Pridnestrovian militia, noting the large number of personnel and the versatility of the tasks performed. Measures of support from the state are noted. They mentioned modern approaches, technological tools, updating the material and technical base, which contribute to the improvement of militia activities. SMART-navigator, Mikron Creative Innovation Center, physical culture and sports society Dynamo Center, Smart City project are all important components of the law enforcement mechanisms of the republic. The housing program, in which the Ministry of Internal Affairs is actively involved was mentioned (11 multi-storey buildings were built over three decades with the ministry participation).
The President of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic spoke about the importance and diversity of areas of the militia service. Vadim Krasnoselsky recalled that it was with the creation of the central apparatus in March 1991 that the transfer of militia units under the jurisdiction of Pridnestrovie began. He spoke about the complexity of the situation in which the inhabitants of the collapsed Soviet Union in general and the Pridnestrovian region in particular found themselves in that historical period, emphasizing the role of the militia in ensuring law and order, security and the formation of the Pridnestrovian statehood. The President expressed his gratitude to the veterans who stood at the origins of the creation of the republic's law enforcement system. He noted the leaders who at various times headed the Ministry of Internal Affairs. The President emphasized that the Ministry of Internal Affairs was and remains a well-organized structure that the country can count on in any circumstances. There are no functions related to the internal life support of the country that are not characteristic of the militia, Vadim Krasnoselsky considers. According to him, a positive result is always achieved no matter what the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the PMR undertakes. He named as examples such areas as housing construction, the fight against the pandemic, the preservation and promotion of history, the education and upbringing of young people. The President expressed gratitude to the personnel, wishing the militia officers health and peace.
The PMR President singled out women in militia uniform. Vadim Krasnoselsky congratulated them on the upcoming International Women's Day, wishing them harmony and love.
The President presented state awards to the most distinguished employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the PMR on the occasion of the holiday of the departmental.
