2020 is a jubilee year. The 75th anniversary of the end of World War II will be celebrated in May, and the republic will celebrate the 30th anniversary in September. Both dates are significant for the Pridnestrovian people and require high-quality preparation of festive events, said Vadim Krasnoselsky, opening the meeting held at the executive office of the PMR President.
Preliminary projects were presented by the head of the State Committee on Culture and Historical Heritage of the PMR, Maria Kyrmyz. According to her, it is planned to coincide with 759 events of different scale and content on Victory Day. 16 of them are republican. We are talking about a military parade, a solemn meeting and a big festive concert, ceremonial and memorial events, as well as traditional rallies and actions. Among the proposed innovations is a big Victory Ball, which will precede the thematic evening concert on the main square of the capital. According to the PMR Minister of Defense Oleg Obruchkov, the number of calculations - participants of the Military Parade dedicated to the Victory Day, will be standard (21 teams, 1350 servicemen). At the same time it was decided in the anniversary year to use the equipment - more than two hundred units. The question of its maximum safety for the Tiraspol roads, delivery to the center of the capital is discussed at the level of the Ministry of Defense and the city administration. Among the equipment that will be presented to the attention of Tiraspol residents and guests of the city is the legendary BM-13, better known as “Katyusha”. The artillery fighting vehicle is at the disposal of the Ministry of Defense and is preparing not only for the demonstration during the parade, but also for participation in the historical reconstruction. As before, this is prepared by the servicemen of the OGRV in Pridnestrovie and representatives of the movement “Heirs of the Victories”. The mass event in the anniversary year will unfold again on the territory of the Tiraspol city beach, the Dniester will be involved. This time it is planned to occupy more equipment and people in the battle scene of the Yassy-Kishinev operation. The question about the need to sew military uniforms of the historical sample was raised in the course of the meeting. To date, the organizers have at their disposal 50 sets of uniforms of the Soviet soldier and 30 German uniforms. Dmitry Zelenkov, head of the Operational Group of Russian Forces in Pridnestrovie said that at least 70 sets are needed to implement the scenario plan of the next reconstruction of the episode of the Great Patriotic War.
They talked during the meeting about the preparation of printed materials, including posters and books, informational posts preservation of handwritten autobiographical materials of the participants of the Second World War and the distribution of publications based on them, as well as on bringing monuments and graves of Heroes of the Soviet Union to the proper form and installing them in cemeteries where they buried.
At the same time, work is also being done on the preparation of events dedicated to the thirtieth anniversary of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic. There are more than a hundred. The most ambitious ones are the Military Parade and theatrical production, which will be held on the evening of September 2 in the center of Tiraspol. The authors plan to show the main milestones in the history of the Pridnestrovian region in the hourly costume presentation from the 18th century to the present day. Artists will come to the capital’s main square to represent outstanding personalities who have left a bright mark on Pridnestrovian history at different times. Significant amount of costumes are necessary to implement the plan. Some of them are in the arsenal of the theater and other cultural institutions, but much will have to be created. Work in this direction has already begun. The necessary funds have been allocated. Vadim Krasnoselsky noted the expediency of “wardrobe renovation”, emphasizing that the new costumes will be actively used in the future for various cultural events.
The meeting participants discussed the issue of preparation for the anniversary of the republic of print media. The president was reported on how the work on their formation was progressing. They talked about ongoing and planned contests dedicated to Pridnestrovie. Among them, for example, a competition for the best musical work on the PMR (12 applications have already been received) has been already launched. On the eve of the republican jubilee, Pridnestrovian artists and talents are measured on the eve of the meeting, Lydia Kolodka, head of the media, told during the meeting. She also informed the President about films, radio and television programs, quizzes, new newspaper headings devoted to the history of Pridnestrovie and its inhabitants, as well as about the preparation of a series of commemorative stamps for the 30th anniversary of Pridnestrovie. They works in this direction: the bank is preparing to issue commemorative coins “Founders of the PMR”. Whose names and portraits will be decorated with stamps and coins of the anniversary series will be decided by the members of the Advisory Assembly of the first Pridnestrovian deputies under the PMR Supreme Council, said Vadim Krasnoselsky.
Another aspect that the PMR President paid attention to is the organization of the participation of Pridnestrovians in the march of the Immortal regiment in the largest Russian cities - Moscow and St. Petersburg. The first experience is already there. The idea found a response among the citizens of the republic, located in the Russian Federation. Next year, it is necessary to carry out a preliminary agitation work and to work through all the organizational issues so that the Pridnestrovian representation in the largest patriotic action on the territory of the Russian Federation is massive and bright, said Vadim Krasnoselsky.
The President was also interested in the execution of a number of his instructions related to the topics of the meeting. Rector of the PGU Stepan Beryl and the head of the foreign ministry Vitaly Ignatiev told about the planned to hold conferences (including online), round tables, open conversations and public lectures on the upcoming 30th anniversary of the republic. The minister also voiced the initiative to attract representatives of the Advisory Assembly (founders of Pridnestrovie) to conduct field lectures on the history of the native land.
Summing up the meeting on the preparation of events dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War 1941-1945. and the 30th anniversary of the formation of the Pridnestrovian Moldavian Republic, the President emphasized that there is a lot of work ahead and the time lag is not that great. The President urged to consolidate efforts, not to allow formalism, look for new creative solutions and remember that we are talking about two important dates for the Pridnestrovian people.
