The President held a video conference with heads of state and administrative bodies. The heads of administrations updated the participants on the situation at their local level as usual. It was noted that there were numerous power outages due to weather conditions in Slobodzeya and Grigoriopol districts, but all outages were resolved within one to two hours. A stream of water from a nearby field flooded a private home in the village of Protyagaylovka, and the residents were temporarily evacuated. Vadim Krasnoselsky drew attention of the meeting participants to the snowfall forecast for midweek, urging the leaders to take preliminary organizational measures to prevent deteriorating weather conditions from catching them off guard.
Other topics discussed at the meeting included the ongoing shortage of kitchen staff in educational institutions. For example, there are 57 vacancies in Bendery.
Cultural events were also discussed. Last week, Memorial rallies and flower-laying ceremonies were held throughout the country to commemorate the Day of the Territorial (Rescue) Joint Detachments (the 11th of February – a new date added to the calendar by presidential decree) and the Day of Remembrance and Glory of Internationalist Soldiers (the 15th of February). A series of Maslenitsa events began this week. Thematic programs are being prepared in all towns and districts of the republic. Preparations are also underway for the March "Martisor" festival.
