The energy supply was the topic of a working discussion of the presidential video conference participants

The state of the energy sector was discussed during a video conference between the President and heads of state and administrative bodies. The PMR Government Deputy Chairman Sergei Obolonik described the current situation as relatively stable. Issues with gas supplies and payments have been resolved. Heat was restored to schools in the republic at 8:00 a.m. on March 10. The transportation sector has sufficient resources. The MGRES is again operating on gas. Centralized heat supply to residential buildings, which was suspended on March 1, has not yet been restored. However, taking into consideration the forecasted fall in temperature and current gas supplies, the President after consultations with specialists decided to restore heat to multi-story buildings starting mid-week. This may be for a short period, but it should be sufficient to warm up the chilled spaces. Further decisions will be made based on future developments.
