The PMR President Vadim Krasnoselsky met with the heads of several diplomatic missions at the presidential executive office. The delegation that arrived in Tiraspol included the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Belgium to the Republic of Moldova Evert Marechal; the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Denmark to the Republic of Moldova Søren Jensen; the Ambassador of Ireland to the Republic of Moldova Myles Geiran; and the Ambassador of Italy to the Republic of Moldova Giuseppe Maria Perricone. The PMR Foreign Minister Vitaly Ignatiev and Advisor to the PMR President Pavel Prokudin took part in the international discussion from the Pridnestrovian side.
Welcoming the guests, Vadim Krasnoselsky noted that he as the country's leader is interested in communicating with representatives of various countries and the European Union as a whole. He emphasized that Pridnestrovie consistently supprts dialogue, but that the legitimate and effective "5+2" platform remains idle. Vadim Krasnoselsky recalled that Moldova not only stalled the work of the "Permanent Conference..." but is also doing everything possible to prevent its resumption. The PMR President emphasized that his numerous meetings with representatives of the international community are certainly valuable, but they do not constitute a full-fledged negotiation process, either individually or collectively. Vadim Krasnoselsky considers that meetings in the "5+2" format and contacts at the senior level of officials from the parties to the conflict are necessary for productive dialogue and the resulting decision-making.
